                                          GPS Coordinates
                   Latitude   9.3350050    Longitude  -83.5720670

At the end of your ride from the ferry from Puntarenous, Santa Teresa is a right turn when you get to the intersection with "Frank's Place" on the right. Not too long ago Santa Teresa was a super quiet beach town of a couple of hotels and restaurants and a few surfers. In the past few years it has experienced an incredible boom! There are hotels and restaurants of every kind, for every budget or taste. Luckily, it has maintained that sleepy surf town vibe and there are some incredible breaks here.

Playa Santa Teresa is just north of Playa Carmen and is an expanse of beach of rock and sand. There are some rock outcroppings that extend more than 100 meters into the water, perfect for spawning both left and right barrels. Generally the breaks of Santa Teresa break best with large west/southwest swells.

The Santa Teresa Area breaks are:

The Santa Teresa Beach Break/Playa Hermosa
The beach break will break both left and right and tends to be hollow. It recieves more swell than neighboring breaks and maintains its shape at low tide. It is about 2.8 km after you make the right at the "cruce", crossroads.
The Santa Teresa beach break works best with a west/southwest swell.

                                                Manzanillo
At the north end of the beach called Manzanillois is an offshore reef break. It only works with a big swell.

                                               Los Suecos
Los Suecos is a wave that need sa big swell to work but can be very hollow, especially with offshore winds. It is a left with a fast takeoff and a long wall to shread. Not for novices.

                                            Punta Barrigona
Punta Barrigona is, as the name implies, a point break that breaks left and becomes a fun hot dog wave on the inside. To work well it needs a good swell. Not for novices.
Wave Type - Beachbreak w/peaks
Bottom - Sand
Swell Window - South to Northwest
Tide - All
Wind - Northeast
